Ms. Zhang joined Liu, Shen
& Associates in April, 2007. She provides intellectual property related
services such as patent prosecution, drafting, patent re-examination, patent invalidation,
patent litigation, patent analysis and navigation with a focus on telecommunication,
signal processing, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and so on.
Ms. Zhang is experienced in infringement
litigations and invalidations relating to Standard Essential Patent (SEP) and
non-SEP in telecommunication field. She also assisted clients in patent
licensing negations for several projects.
Ms. Zhang became a qualified
patent attorney in 2007, and got her qualification as an attorney at law in 2008.
Ms. Zhang received her
Master of Laws (LLM) degree from The John Marshall Law School (JMLS) in
Chicago, IL, USA, with a major on Intellectual Property Law, in 2016, and
received the Graduate with Honors Award.
Ms. Zhang received her
master's degree from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications with a
major on Information and Communication System, in April, 2007.

- Samsung v. Huawei and Huawei v. Samsung, representing
Samsung to attend SEP and non-SEP patent infringement group cases, patent
invalidation group cases and administrative group cases, settled;
- Qualcomm v. Apple invalidation cases, representing the
patentee Qualcomm to attend patent invalidation group cases and administrative
group cases, settled;
- Solaredge v. Huawei invalidation cases, representing
the patentee Solaredge, pending;
- Zhendi v. Hanwang invalidation case, representing
the patentee Hanwang, and successfully defended the patent not to be
invalidated;
- NetEase v. Hanwang invalidation cases and
administrative cases, representing the patentee Hanwang, pending;
- Contec Medical System v. ChoiceMMed invalidation
case and infringement case, representing the petitioner Contec, successfully
invalidated the patent, and forced the plaintiff to withdraw the case due to
the successful invalidation;
- Electronics and Telecommunications Research
Institute (ETRI) v. Patent Reexamination Board, administrative litigation, representing
ETRI, won the first instance at Beijing IP court (no appeal) and the involved
patent application was granted afterwards;
- Providing one of famous companies in IoT technical
field with patent landscape analysis, related to IoT;
- Providing one of famous companies in AI technical
field with patent early-warning analysis and patent landscape analysis, related
to AI;
- Providing one of famous companies in driverless
technology with patent early-warning analysis and patent landscape analysis,
related to driverless technology;
- Providing several clients in telecommunication with
services including patent infringement analysis, validity evaluation and
advisory opinion on patent litigation, related to SEP portfolio;
- Providing one of famous companies in intelligent
aircraft field with services related to FTO (Freedom to Operate) analysis;
- Providing one of famous companies in battery field
with services related to EoU (Evidence of Use) analysis.
