Dr. Yi has more than 12
years’ experience as an IP practitioner, and has worked in CNIPA for 5 years as
an examiner before joining LIUSHEN &
ASSOCIATES.
Dr. Yi specializes in drafting,
prosecution, prior art search, Freedom to Operate search and analysis, validity
and infringement analysis, litigation and dispute resolution. Dr. Yi has represented
clients before the Patent Reexamination Board and the courts in various patent
invalidation and administrative litigation cases.
Dr. Yi is well experienced in
the communication with government authorities and the courts for patent issues.
Dr. Yi received her B.S degree
in Biomedical Engineer from Wuhan University, and her Ph.D. degree in Clinical Medicine
from Capital Medical University.

rounds of invalidation and administrative litigation, we finally helped the
patentees to obtain a favorable judgment from the Beijing Intellectual Property
Court.
- In Tian Jingpeng vs. Huadong Pharmaceutical for patent invalidation dispute
involving a pharmaceutical composition, we represented the invalidation
requester and obtained a decision in favor of the client, which caused the
patentee to voluntarily narrow the allowed claims.
- Providing an international corporation with a preliminary search
and analysis of invalidity of an antibody patent; and the analysis provides help
for the license negotiation between the client and the patentee.
