Mr. Dongguo Liang joined Liu,
Shen & Associates in August 2012. He mainly specializes in patent
prosecution, re-examination, patent invalidation, patent licensing, IP litigation,
and client counseling with a focus on semiconductors, electronic circuits, telecommunication,
automation control, and computer science.
Mr. Dongguo Liang handles a
number of cases related to patent examination, reexamination, invalidation, administrative
litigation, infringement litigation, license, and other IP related matters during
his work in the Law Firm. He represented Samsung against a large domestic
communication enterprise in a series of patent invalidation cases and related
infringement cases from 2016. During this period, Mr. Liang also involved in analyzing
for hundreds of communication standard essential patents (SEPs) and commercial
patents (NSEPs) to evaluate the validities of the patents. In 2018, Mr. Liang
also participated in the series of patent invalidation cases with Apple on
behalf of Qualcomm, and maintained the patent right of Qualcomm in his case relative
with the memory dynamic word line driver.
Before joining
Liu, Shen & Associates, Mr. Liang worked in China Sinda law firm for 4
years. He also had his internship at the Drinker&Biddle law firm in
Philadelphia, USA from July to August, 2016.
Mr.
Liang obtained his Master of Microelectronics from Institute of
Microelectronics of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2008, before that he got the
Bachelor’s degree of Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2005. He
also got his Master of Law from Temple University, USA in 2016, in order to
provide better services to clients.

communication enterprise;

- 2017, Samsung v. Guangsheng for a patent of encoder.
