On May 19, 2025, during the 147th INTA Annual Meeting held at the San Diego Convention Center, the "The Trademark Agency Top 40 for Foreign-Related" list was officially released at the China Trademark Association (CTA) Forum. Liu Shen & Associates was honored to be included in this prestigious ranking.
The list was jointly released by the China Trademark Magazine and IPPH (IP House) under the guidance of the China Trademark Association. The publication of this list aims to provide a reliable decision-making reference for foreign enterprises seeking trademark service providers in the Chinese market, facilitating the smooth progress of their intellectual property operations in China.

In recent years, with the sustained growth of China’s economy and the continuous expansion of its market, an increasing number of foreign enterprises have set their sights on China. Data shows that since 2000, trademark applications filed by foreign entities in China have demonstrated a steady upward trend. This volume peaked in 2021 with 258,000 applications, representing a staggering 521.9% increase compared to 2000. As of December 15, 2024, the volume of valid foreign-owned trademark registrations in China reached 2.156 million, with a net increase of 57,000 valid registrations within the year 2024 alone.
However, alongside the development of foreign enterprises in the Chinese market, the number of trademark disputes has also been on the rise. In 2024, trademark oppositions and review disputes involving foreign enterprises reached 82,000 cases, with the annual volume remaining above 80,000 cases for each of the past five years. This phenomenon underscores the critical importance and urgent demand for intellectual property strategic work among foreign enterprises operating in China.

The release of this list marks a new chapter for foreign-related trademark agency services in China. Looking ahead, Liu Shen remains steadfast in its commitment to helping market entities enhance their levels of intellectual property innovation and protection. The firm will continue to provide domestic and foreign enterprises with even higher quality and more professional services.
